Summary
A dog-walking weather app from my studio, Hatch Dept. Instead of raw weather data, SafePaws tells you whether it's safe to walk your dog right now and when the best window is later today.
Features
A straight answer
One clear verdict: Good to go, Go easy or Stay in.
Hourly forecast
Each hour is colour-coded by safety, so the best walking windows stand out.
Pavement temperature
Estimates ground temperature from sun strength, because sun-baked tarmac gets much hotter than the air.
Vet-informed
Thresholds follow veterinary guidance and err on the side of caution.
Shows its working
Every verdict shows which factors are driving it.
